Rhapsody users can build their models of complex software systems following Pathfinder’s simple and powerful Platform-Independent Model-Driven Development (PI-MDD) method and use PathMATE to transform the models into complete, deployable high-performance implementations.
As compared to other more code-focused methods of modeling, the PI-MDD approach creates models that are half as complex. This simplicity, combined with an elevated level of abstraction, is how the PI-MDD method delivers a doubling of productivity and a 90 percent reduction in defects. In addition, PI-MDD models contain all model information at the platform-independent level of abstraction instead of using implementation-language actions.
